To create excellent wines, you need grapes of outstanding quality, which only organic vineyard management can achieve. With this in mind, in 2004 they undertook to convert the whole estate to organic production.
- In 2007, after 3 years of conversion, the estate was awarded “Bio” (organic) certification.
- In 2010, the estate grew to 20 ha.
- In 2011, the buildings were restored to house a second winemaking storehouse. It comprises thermally regulated stainless steel fermenters, with a 1500 hl capacity, and a temperature control system to favour better winemaking. A barrel storehouse was also created with a 100 hl capacity, as well as a bottle storehouse.
No chemical product is used at any of the Château Morillon wine production stages. The only treatment of the vine that it is allowed is the use of copper and sulphur in highly controlled quantities.
