Outstanding organic wines from BERGERAC and MONBAZILLAC.
The whole estate is established on the carbonated calcium clay and feldspathic micaceous soft sandstone of the Agen region. One of the special features of the Terroir is that it has a considerable outcrop of silica, which renders the soil slightly acidic. The majority of the parcels face full south and they are all on varyingly steep hills.
Grande Maison has been using the biodynamic method since 1997. Work is carried out to coincide with lunar cycles and preparations and plant manures (nettles, horsetail, friends) are spread several times throughout the season. The Grande Maison wine is matured in oak casks and is a true delight to the palate.
