Supporting local products
Located at the heart of the Lot et Garonne orchards, Naturgie depends on local supplies, when possible, keeping in mind the local businesses in this sector. So we have worked for twenty years with the apple grower located just behind our workshops. The fruit is gathered and sent directly to our workshop, and then processed. The environmental impact due to transport is considerably reduced by supporting local growers.
We select top quality raw materials depending on their origin, their variety and also their organoleptic qualities (colour, texture and flavour). We occasionally mix several varieties of fruit to obtain the best jams. Loving their work and their region, the farmers we work with are anxious to provide outstanding products, meeting the requirements of organic farming.
Taking this approach further, we obtained Bio Sud-ouest accreditation for 7 of our products.
Naturgie also gives preference to fruit from French growing regions, such cherry plums from Lorraine, purple figs from Provence, apricots from Roussillon, clementines and grapefruits from Corsica, in order to offer products sourced entirely from French fruit growing.
